News PADDY'S POINT GOLF SOCIETY - RODA

Not a great turnout for our day at Roda but that was understandable due to the workload of some of our members and the very hot weather. The course as always was in good condition and many thanks to all at Roda.

There were some good scores coming in with the usual golfers getting their normal handicap cuts, they are beginning to find their levels making high scores harder to come by. Our handicap secretary Mack "the knife" is happy to be kept busy. After golf we returned to Paddy's Point for the presentation and buffet, thanks as always to bar and kitchen staff.

Alan has taken his golf up to another level now, in the last 12 months his handicap has dropped from 25 to 14. Great for him, but other players take note it has been due in part to the amount of time he spends on the driving range. Perhaps I should join him.

Our next event is at Mar Menor on Wednesday 8th September with the first tee off at 10am, meet at Paddy's Point 08.30am. This event will be for the "Chairman's Putter" trophy. If you wish to join us, guests welcome, please give your name and €20 deposit to bar staff at least 48 hours before the event.
